7 February 2020<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Weebit Nano Ltd (ASX: WBT), a developer of next generation memory technology for the global semiconductor industry, will showcase its innovative brain-inspired neuromorphic demo at the International Solid-State Circuit Conference (ISSCC) 2020 in San Francisco from 16-20 February.<\/p>\n

Held annually, the ISSCC is the premier global forum for advances in solid-state circuits and systems-on-a-chip. \u00a0As the flagship conference of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society, it attracts more than 3,000 attendees.\u00a0 Chosen by an international panel of scientific and industry experts, Weebit will present its bio-inspired \u2018SPIRIT\u2019 neuromorphic demo, developed in cooperation with its partner CEA-Leti, as part of the event\u2019s Industry Showcase, alongside other selected companies such as Intel, Samsung, IBM, AMD, Western Digital, Alibaba and Texas Instruments.<\/p>\n

The SPIRIT neuromorphic demo uses Weebit\u2019s silicon oxide ReRAM technology to run inference tasks using CEA-Leti\u2019s Spiking Neural Network (SNN) algorithms, implementing synapses in a way that mimics human biological synapse activity. \u00a0Using neuromorphic techniques based on ReRAM technology greatly increases parallel connectivity compared to current circuits, significantly improving the energy efficiency of the Ai computing process.<\/p>\n
